    This footage appears at the end of Legends of American Skiing while the credits roll.  One of the American Ski Annuals also has an article on the subject as a promising summer skiing method.

    I've seen that video before.  But did you notice? No helmets!

    What I noticed was how was everyone's knee fine after some of those spills.

    We had a pine needle slope in NJ, it was at a state park and open late 1930s I believe.  If you remember Skibabe from SJ 1.0 she had some photos of it, will see if I can dig them out

    I'm sure everybody noticed that, even in those eggbeater falls, the skis didn't come off.

    This was the Pine Needle Slope in Swartswood Lake, NJ at the Rustic R Ranch.  The property is owned by the Girl Scouts and is Camp Lou Henry Hoover.
