Day 1 of a 2 day northern Michigan ski trip with me and my Daughter. What a beautiful day 55 degrees and sunshine and soft spring snow. This was my first time here and the runs are a little short, but they have a lot to choose from. The front slopes got a little too soft due to the direct sunlight, but the slopes on the back of hill stay just frim enough to not become like mashed potatoes. When the sun went down and we had a gorgeous Mi sunset the snow set up and got really fast. We managed just over 16,000' of vertical on a 350' hill and most of what we skied was more like a 200' - 250' hill. What a great way to spend time with your kid

Looks fantastic. Not many people compared to Saturdays. gorge looked really tempting on your 9th picture and nose dive with the natural on the 10th looks just the way I remember it
Looks like you got your moneys worth staying through the dark. Can you see the stark contrast between crystal and Caberfae?

I apologize for falling ill and not being able to meet you and your daughter yesterday and to be truthful with you as the day progressed I felt a little better and my wife convinced me to take a ride out to the big lake

I'll never forget Megan's way on the north face on April 3 Good Friday of 2015 when my then seven-year-old grandson first snowboarded and made it look so easy that I was tempted to try boarding myself . There is a certain place in my heart for Crystal Mountain with all its aspects of all the trail pods that will always stick in my memory for having great times with my love ones i'm sure the same holds true for you Ted also

A couple more pcs of a Mi sunset that didn't post the first time. Crystal has much more variety to choose from and a few trails that challenge me at least a little. Gorge,The bowl in Teddy's way and Nose Dive. I can see if they were busy the flat area under the Crystal Clipper lift is quit the mixing bowl with all the trails that come together and with people skiing at many different speeds. My daughters name is Megan and when she saw they had a Megan's Way ski trail she had to ski it. We have been skiing together for 17 years now and to watch how she had progressed have been wonderful
