Dear Upper Valley Community,

We are pleased to announce that the West Side T-Bar project is under way, and want to share with you our preliminary schedule, as we know it today.

The lift components have been delivered to our installer, SkyTrans of Contoocook, NH, for refurbishment. Footing excavation will begin in May with an anticipated completion in July. Installation of the lift itself will begin soon thereafter, with an estimated completion and final certification by the end of October.

We are excited to restore a lift line that has been dormant for over 15 years. The T-Bar and the trails that will be served by it, are vital to our vision for Whaleback, and will provide the following major benefits:

• Increase learning terrain, providing extraordinary options for our beginning and low intermediate skiers and riders prior to moving up to the chair.
• Reduce early-season snowmaking footprint requirements, which will help guarantee an on-time opening.
• Provide early-season terrain for ski clubs and race teams, which will help secure our bottom line.

We look forward to updating the community as work progresses on this exciting project, and on our planned snowmaking improvements, which will occur this summer and fall!

Sincerely,

The UVSSF Board

No, their last year was 2012-13.
