Wonder if anyone will recognize this open area.

Nope. I feel I should know but no. I'll guess Bradford.

    It definitely isn't Bradford.

Mt Pisgah, Saranac Lake, NY. Fun little spot night skiing too.

Yes, Mt. Pisgah is correct.  We made a short side trip on our way to drop my daughter off at Clarkson University for her freshman orientation and decided to check it out.  My daughter will be skiing on the Clarkson Alpine race team while she's there.

The hill and facilities looked to be very well maintained.

Wow ADK that's the way to knock it out of the park. I didn't even know Saranac had a ski area.
Ouch, a six hour ride for parents weekend..

The 6 hour drive isn't as bad as the 9 hour drive to Pittsburgh for her twin sister's parents weekend.

I have skied there - very impressed - they have snowmaking, a relatively new T-bar and a new lodge. The T-bar runs on the slow side though- 350-400'/min. There is a nice cascading wide open slope along with narrower chutes in the woods. The grooming was top notch too.

Hopefully they do not fall on the same weekend.

They do, so my wife and I plan to divide and conquer.  I'm heading to Clarkson for one twin and she is heading to Duquesne in Pittsburgh for the other.
