Quebec Day 1 - Ski Chantecler, Jan 15, 2018
After skiing at Vallee Bleue, we hit up Chantecler for a few hours in the afternoon. It was their "Staff Monday", $12 US for the day, so even if we skied a handful of runs it was worth checking off the bucket list.
Vertical is 600', and there is some challenging terrain here - with some decent pitches and double fall lines, particularly under the quads. The ski area was empty, just a handful of others there. Conditions were packed powder with little ice. Sky was a deep blue and temps were cold, in the single digits, thankfully no wind.
Chantecler used to be much, much larger - here's a link to their trail map from years ago. On the far right is still open. I'll have another post on the lost triple chair that connected the hotel slopes.
