Big White video

Below is a link to a Big White video. It has some details
about a new FGQ. I’m intrigued by their bike trail with it’s many banked turns.
This seems like it would be fun to ski. It is like a mini skier/boarder cross
course. Do any eastern areas have such a bike course that can be skied in the
winter? They also say they’re spending $200k on summer trail grooming. I
presume that is rock n stump removal. This seems like something eastern resorts
should do regularly. I know Magic has been doing this with their glades.
Decades ago Bromley hired college students to do this.

That is true.  It was a freebie on the old Descent Passport program, can't pass up free!!!  Went there 3 different years and it lived up to it's nickname every time, "Big Whiteout".  With near zero visibility the top was pretty much unskiable.  I've actually only been to the top 1 time, it was not a fun run (but at least I got to ride the t-bar).  The good news is they have plenty of great skiing below the treeline.  Lots of nice steep trees with cliffs by that Powder Chair, which luckily also lived up to its name.  The Gem Lake section was also real nice, just gotta be careful not to run into a snow ghost up top.  Watching the video makes me want to get back there.  Interior BC is by far my favorite ski destination!!!  Thanks for posting.

Seattle, Calgary and Vancouver.  All 3 trip were fly then drive all over type trips.  I seem to recall the flight times being pretty lousy if you want to fly into Kelowna, so never really considered it.  We had plenty of areas to hit near the direct flight airports anyway.
