Gore Mountain: New for Winter 18-19

It's the Biggest Year for Snowmaking Since We Tapped the Hudson River!

A major overhaul to our snowmaking system for Winter 18-19 has us set up to deliver you the snowiest season ever at Gore. A new pump house is being constructed and new pipe installed to increase our water pumping capacity by 42%, allowing us to open more trails earlier in the season and expand terrain faster than ever before. 312 brand-new automated guns equipped with the latest snowmaking technologies are being installed on key trails which will allow our crews to work smarter, faster, and more efficiently! These guns can be controlled remotely or manually, and respond to real-time weather changes to optimize their output.

A Two-Story Base Lodge Addition!

We are busy building a large two-level addition to the Base Lodge that will double the size of the Tannery Pub & Restaurant , which is also getting a complete renovation and expanded kitchen. The newly added Tannery space will seat up to 350 people and offer year-round facilities for banquets, weddings, and conferences. The lower level addition will house the brand-new headquarters for the popular Season-Long Mountain Adventure programs for kids, and more seasonal lockers!

Two More Grooming Machines!

Look for an even stronger grooming fleet this winter, as we welcome two more cats to our arsenal. We're looking forward to turning all of this great new snow into your best corduroy mornings.

A Trail Improvement You'll Smile About!

Remember that unfavorable hump that awaited you at the bottom of Cloud/Ruby Run? Time to forget it! Our crews have been busy saying goodbye to some bedrock in order to make your entry into the Saddle so much smoother.

A Freshly Paved Welcome Area!

The resort entrance and walkways are dressed up with a fresh coat of black top- the Base Area looks great and we can't wait to see you!

thats the problem with being state run....I really wish NYS would get out of the business and lease those areas out.
