Sugarbush-- 11/17 & 11/18, 11/21

edited November 22 in Trip Reports
OK-- it was a work weekend but a good one. Spun Valley House with a huge opening day crowd. Most of the trails off of that pod had decent coverage and even Steins skied well, though thin. Didn't cut my skis up on any rocks. Sunday was a bit faster with some hard pack standing in for snow but still could cut an edge. Everyone seemed to be really happy to be out again to ski and the lines didn't die down until late in the day.

Ended up getting some "new" skis off of another patroller and bummed to find out they don't fit my ski rack....

  • Wow! Looks great, except for the crowds!

  • What was really cool were the packs of roaming kids just having fun. I rode up with several groups and they were hard core skiers and really, really good. I watched a couple of them head down through the trees between the Mall and Steins and they were ripping it up. Ah, to be young with knees of rubber and closer to the ground as to not fight gravity so much.

  • Good stuff bmw, like hearing about patrol
  • Skied yesterday, today and Tylenol willing, the rest of the weekend. Dropped the ropes on Paradise with fresh shots on everything from there to Cat's Meow!

There today with lifts spinning at 9, but having to break out the down puffy because it's wicked cold now.

Finally broke down and bought a new (used) pair of fat skis and they're different. Fell over backwards on my fanny at the top of HG and laughed my head off!
