Tough luck, Ascutney

Due to the "bad" weather, Ascutney can't complete its T-bar installation for this season. From Facebook:
T-Bar Update: With tireless effort under difficult conditions, Glenn Seward and the crew from Pfister Mountain Services have installed a number of the cement pads for the T-bar lift. We'd been holding out hope that Mother Nature would give us a period of clear skies and dry land to finish the job in time for this coming season. However, with the recent snowfall, we determined that it is not safe to be on the hill with large equipment and that our window has passed. Installation is scheduled to be completed in the spring. For this season, the rope tow will be ready to go and we are putting the final touches on the tubing lift. We look forward to seeing you on the mountain!

I wouldn't drive 100 miles for either but they are okay.
    302 West Smokehouse & Tavern
Ebenezer's Restaurant & Pub - eclectic beer selection
The Oxford House Inn - I haven't been to yet.
or skip the food and just go here; Saco River Brewing.

What has this to do with Ascutney?

    Poor planning

    Three things:
    1. VT State Act 250 permit process
    2. Non-profit
    3. funding

They're doing awesome things for FREE for us all. Projects like this are not a simple task, further complicated by an early winter.
