Today was my first day of the season with natural snow trails and glades in play. Ragged was running the Summit Six-Pack and the Barnyard Triple. The usual early-season runs were open, as well as Sunnyside, Twister, Cemetary Gates, Raggae Glades, Pines, and Sweepstakes with natural snow. The suurface on the groomed trails was ecellent in the morning, but becaome scraped off in many areas later in the day. The natural snow trails were fun, but quite thin in places, because there was little to no base below the fresh snow. The rain moving in early this week will likely wipe out the natural snow trails, but they were a good sign of what's to come in a few more weeks.
