NewEnglandSkier13 I spent a cold evening skiing at Lost Valley in Auburn. They planned to open at 3:00, but their groomer was down, so they didn't open until almost 4:30. Chair 1 was open and the trails that they had open were Deer Run, Big Buck, and Pine Grove. Because of how quickly they groomed the mountain, much of the snow surface was the most horrendous golf balls and death cookies that I've ever seen. Take a look at the surface in my photos, it was difficult to ski on. Although surface conditions were rough and it was cold, the hill was still relatively busy. It looks like they will have a few more trails open by this weekend.
Chuckstah Nice report. Never been there but it's on my list to finish new England. And today is the 19th๐

conrad Nice pictures and summary! I see what you're saying with the golf balls and death cookies, though! Definitely want to make it over there one of these years and give it a try.
