Camden Snow Bowl 1/29/2021

It was a frigid day at Camden Snow Bowl with high winds and cold temperatures. It snowed up until around 12:30 and the wind blew the few inches of new snow into some nice powdery drifts. Unfortunately the triple was on wind hold from 12-1 and then closed again around 2:15 for the rest of the day due to a mechanical issue. The laps that I did on the triple were definitely the best of the day with a few options down from the summit and excellent views of the ocean. I spent the rest of the day on the double which had every trail off it open except for T Line.

Always been jealous of the snowmaking capacity for such a small hill. That federal grant they got a while back was great for them. The town has been good too.

Yeah, they have pretty impressive snowmaking. All of the open trails had about 3 feet of base on average and they were making lots of snow all day.

Its a beautiful spot to ski. Thanks for the report. I guess they can't have tobbogan teams with Covid?

They are doing tobboganing this year on weekends, but I think most of the related events have been cancelled.
