Opening day at Mount Abram! They were hoping to have Sweeper and Boris open from the summit as well as Mahoosuc Meadow on the West Side open today, but unfortunately The Way Back Machine never opened due to the wind, and there wasn't enough snow to open the T-bar. Because of this, we spend most of the day lapping the Skyline Chair and Mahoosuc Meadow. I did hike over from the top of the Skyline Chair to the top of Boris once, and it was definitely the best run of the day! The snow was firm and dense, but they did a good job grooming to create a very edgeable surface. They have made a lot of snow on open terrain and there was excellent wall-to-wall coverage. It looks like Dudley and Taylor's Treat should also be open soon. They were only charging $20 today, and this weekend will only be $30, so you have no reason not to visit if you're in the area!
