Spent about an hour and a half at Loon yesterday after camping nearby the night before. All lifts except the East Basin and Little Sister Doubles were open. I stayed away from the main lifts, although they probably weren’t too crowded due to the conditions and the time of day. The snow conditions were about as good as could be expected given the recent thaw-freeze. Started at South Peak and warmed up on Boom Run and Cruiser – the latter was the better of the two. The Lincoln Express had a few-chair wait for my first couple runs but was empty afterwards. I then took Tote Road over and headed to the North Peak Express, which was ski-on. Walking Boss and Lower Flume were mostly hardpack with a bit of loose granular on top. Sunset was much better, likely because it faces west and was softened by the sun. After a few runs there, I headed back across Tote Road and finished with Boom Run to Upper Twitcher to Jobber. I decided to finish up there as I was getting tired and had to drive home. The views were excellent though!
