Skied Pats Peak with a few friends from 9:30 to 1:00. It was fun despite the unseasonable conditions resulting from the recent thaw/freeze. All chairlifts were running except the two doubles, and Vortex and Hurricane appeared to be the only trails closed. There were lots of lessons taking place and the Turbulence Triple was by far the most crowded lift, with the other triples ranging from ski-on to a few chairs’ wait. Conditions on a trail heavily depended on how much traffic that trail saw. Some of the low-angle, high-traffic trails were loose or frozen granular, while the trails in Cascade Basin saw lower traffic and were golf balls. There were some ice patches and bare spots on most trails but they were usually avoidable.
