Skied Stowe today after receiving 36" of snow this past week. Great refresh for Stowe put everything into tip top shape and with the storm tomorrow it will only get better.
Just about all glades were open. I was by myself so I did partake, but everyone was talking about how good they were, especially since the wind from yesterday did not pack the snow as much as the trails
Moguls were everywhere except for most of the intermediate and beginner terrain. Most of them were very soft with some wind blown patches too. Even Hayride had good size moguls. Interestingly Chin Clip was groomed. My guess is they lost almost all of the base and with the 36" of snow this week they wanted preserve the base for the trail.
My runs included Upper/Lower Starr, Liftline, National, Nosedive, Centerline, Chin Clip, Waterfall plus three or four runs over on Spruce.
It was the kind of day that just about every run skied very well.
Upper Starr
Nosedive
National (lower portion)
Temperature was cold most of the day, but the sun was out and the wind while high before 10:00 am calmed down quite a bit.
