Congrats on the Transition

I suspect there will be a few glitches in the transition, but for the first time, I am getting repeated access to SJ2.0 using the old URL.

Thank you again to Chris Bradford for 15 years of SJ1.0 and thank you also to the mystery man who goes as "admin" or "new_admin".

Up to yesterday my bookmark brought me to the old site. Same bookmark, new site. Nicely done.

I think its really neat that this community will keep on keepin' on.  I like the new site better than the old one ;)

I really like the "Greetings" tutorial link at the top of the page! When you click on that "Recent Topics" show up on the left sidebar; is it possible to make this show on every page like on the old site?

Ah, but my heart still pines for the old one! There are conversations there over 15 years old!!

I hope that the archive will soon be available! Hopefully I will still have access to all of those great photos!

I agree. A big thank you to Chris and the new admin. I'd love for this site to continue adfree.

And the mobile site is quite nice. Still need to figure out how to embed photos hosted on other sites.

That's a huge plus! I'm glad it's still ad free!

At first glance, I couldn't tell if this thread was for SJ or Bruce Jenner. \:D/ :D

Is there a brief history section someone could point me to? Been a long time for me. And obviously something has happened.

Chris announced in April that he was done with SJ administration and hosting as of May 15.  The SJ community was appalled.  A new anonymous individual stepped up.  Eventually, the SJ1.0 postings will be available as an archive, but we don't know when that will happen.

It might be a good idea to make that history a "stickey."

I can't speak for Joshua but I think he meant it as an acronym

A -- appreciative for years of hosting
P -- passionate about our sport
P -- positive our community would continue
    A -- apprehensive, at first
    L -- led to a new
    L -- location
    E -- excited and
D -- delighted that we live on!

Yep! Exactly what I meant!  Seriously, "appalled that SJ might go away" was what I meant.  Absolutely no offence intended!

For some reason I miss those guys. Maybe he's related to Jenner ;))

Hey when did the avatar or whatever you want to call it for SJ 2.0 get turned into sap buckets??
Not sure I like the connotations of that.
