Western NY trip report: Day 7.5 Four Seasons 02/09/18

Powder Day!!!  World's shortest vertical powder day!!!

In my big spreadsheet of places I skied I also keep track of which ones I've managed to score a powder day.  I guess the vert doesn't matter.  Spent most of the time tubing, then swapped for skis and did about 6 runs.  Spent about 2 hours there, got nice and empty as the night went along.  We were the last one up and closed the place. Talked to the owner for a little bit, very nice guy.  Was telling him about our trip and he mentioned he bought a trailer from Holiday Valley and how impressed he is with their operation.  Unfortunately the chair only runs on weekends, so we didn't get to ride.  Would have hiked to the top (aka walked 50 feet), but the girls needed a little help with their tubes at the top.  Fun night, and was finally able to click into my bindings without too much pain.

  • That is one tiny area! Any chance you got photos of the chair?

No, should have. Dumb!!! Gotta remember to take more chair pics.
  • Four Seasons!  A Central New York snowsports institution!  I always liked driving by and seeing all their wand snowmakers just sticking out everywhere on the tiny hill.
