  • Final day is Saturday. Per K report.
  • Killington closed at noon today, just as the weather is clearing up. I was real close to going for an afternoon half day. Sure glad I decided to stay home.
  • ...  One run on Skylarke from Launch pad down was fun, with some grass skiing required but confirmed that it should not be open for the masses...   I disagree.  The late late season Killington skier is more than used to and capable of grass skiing…
  • Great late season day today.  Joshua summed it up nicely.  Some rocks were poking through the headwall late day, but it held up.  One run on Skylarke from Launch pad down was fun, with some grass skiing required but confirmed that it should not be o…
  • Today's update doesn't sound real optimistic for skiing on Memorial day weekend. Hopefully they get at least one final day in next weekend to close it out. Tomorrow should start out fantastic, with bumps building fast.
  • They just need one of these fancy snowcat dump trucks like Hood Meadows built.... https://www.skihood.com/about-us/meadows-blog/posts/2014/08/snow-farming-the-foundation-of-a-great-season I like it!  I remember Mount Sunapee doing something s…
  • I am one of those who stated that the SS headwall would be an issue.  IMO it is, and I stand by that.  To my eye much less snow was made up top this year, and the washout shows it. This past weekend  the top needed to be repaired daily, with rocks b…
  • The SS can is still working fine. Click "Winter' in the top left corner of the site, and the option will appear.
  • For sure. I was hitting rocks at the top of the headwall Saturday. The pile up top was maybe half of what they blew the past 3 seasons. I'll give an update uf I make it back Friday as planned.
  • It has been down for a few days, but it seems to be working for me now.  For how long, who knows?
  • Today was another bluebird day at K. Great spring conditions, but it is going fast. Skylarke was good top to bottom but getting thin in spots. SS is deep everywhere except the top where they didn't make a deep enough base. The very top of the headw…
  • Lower skier's left is rhe remnants from the May first slalom, and it was indeed a fun little line.
  • Superstar from Wednesday
  • I'm drooling over the Superstar cam this morning.....Oh my does that look heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.killington.com/the-mountain/webcams/mountain/superstar-cam I skied K this afternoon.  I say afternoon and not today as the SS lift was be…
  • The last time I remember paying window rate was about 4 years ago at Timberline, OR, on Labor Day weekend.  It was about $60, and no discounts were available.  I'm sure there's a few more over the last decade.  One more I thought of is full window r…
  • Jay Peak just announced 7 day per week operations until May 6.  Will Killington follow thier lead and open on May 2 and 3, which are currently listed as closed on the snow report? Will probably wait until it gets a little closer to see what the lo…

  • K1 will be open for the week, nice surprise! Unless you've got new info, K1 will be open tomorrow (Monday, Apr. 23 and again on the weekend of Apr. 28-29.  Other days this week will be Superstar only.  After that it will be Superstar-only on F-S-S…
  • Ya, I had no issue for years. Just the one time, but after that incident, I don't feel welcome there and won't return.
  • Nice job.  The last time I tried skiing Nashoba after close I got kicked out by a not so nice worker after having done it many times before.Said I was trespassing.  I will never give them any business going forward. Crotched is my go to now, and not…
  • I was looking at that very lift yesterday, wondering if it ever runs...
  • I found Spring at Mount Snow today.  Along with great skiing including on natural trails and in the glades.  May have to go back for closing day tomorrow!
  • Steve Wright, the GM at Jay explains what happened in detail.  I love open communication from ski areas. http://forums.alpinezone.com/showthread.php/140592-where-are-we-going-this-weekend/page2
  • Mt Snow was good today, with wall to wall snow everywhere.  Carinthia was nice and soft , while the North Face, lets say firm.  Even got into some glades with great coverage, no rocks, logs, almost nothing to hit.  As for crowds I would think Saturd…
  • Last season Killington was about $69 when down to the Superstar pod IIRC, and 50% off midweek with a pass or ticket from another area. 25% off on weekend's. So hopefully about $35 midweek which is somewhat reasonable fir one lift I guess?
  • I'll be at Okemo tomorrow to burn a voucher, and hopefully Mt Snow Thursday, if lack of work continues as planned. Like NES13, hoping for a powder day on Thursday.
  • I am currently at 56 days.  With a break in the weather I should hopefully  reach about 62 before Mt Snow and Wildcat close for the season, if the snow lasts.  Then it's 4-5 days on Superstar if my time off coincides with spring sun and warmth. I'm …

  • Nice coating of sleet and ice this morning in Southern NH. Maybe an inch on my car. It's mostly gone now as it's up to 40 with heavy rain.
  • Nice job Cisco!  Maybe someday I'll ski out your way. Thanks Chuck, better chance I ski out your way, Which is what state again? Just saw this Cisco, with the bump of the thread.  I live in NH.
  • Great report!  I was there yesterday and concur, great conditions, and it snowed about 3 inches during the day.  I hit a lot of same trails as you, but not nearly as many.  As for Ledge, it took me out.  Most of it skied OK, but near the bottom  hit…
