Yes it’s private and only runs weekends & holidays. We just called up & asked to come up and they said yes. Actually they recommended we wait a week for better conditions and we are so glad we did! They were gracious hosts and they aren’t pushing memberships and they let the place stand on its own merits.

It’s a small, small NE ski world. I just saw that a banned SJ1.0er posted a condition report on NE Ski Conditions for the same day I was there. You’d think with only 25-75 people there and one lift we’d might have run into each other. Edit: Now a good source tells me Becca was there too! OMG

it was AMAZING!!!!   :)     Enjoyed SO MUCH POWDER!!!!      We had a GREAT time…..enjoyed seeing our runs recorded in the powder canvas!

Plymouth Notch, VT Trip Report Sat. 3/18/2017

Weather: 14° F base in morning, light or no wind, sunny, & visibility excellent. New snow - not sure at least a foot of powder from Wednesday. Conditions: Powder, groomed packed powder & variable base. Fully open 28 trails but two expert cliff glades closed. Crowds: Very light - ski on. I think there was about 25 people there but up to 75 were expected. Ticket Purchase: I think maybe there was a discount since it was listed as $108 online but we paid $75 ea plus tax includes lunch

I know. I know. Well I was as nervous & giddy as a little boy on the first day of school. We’d been denied before under the previous incarnation and all we had to go on was a first name to get in. After a 3 ½ hr ride I wasn’t stopping to read license plates with all that POW. Those guys probably got first chair before it officially opened at 9:30 and we prob got 2nd chair at 9:50…because no one was there. I would have looked for someone who lost a battle with some ski equipment recently but the Mrs doesn’t like me to look longingly into another women’s eyes.

Those pics look great! I remember seeing Roundtop from Killington Peak about 30 years ago.

Looking at the trail map in the frame it shows two chairlifts and a t-bar. Is only the Mueller double still standing?

Observant you are. No, I saw no sign of the T-bar or a handle tow or that barn shaped lodge. There is a base terminal, towers and the upper bull wheel left standing on the other Mueller. No cable, no chairs. Part of that old lift is pretty overgrown. That map looks to be from 1977-78.

This is the wide part. Well, I’ll admit I skied it like crap. Totally failed to execute. Shoulda just have pointed them straight down, but with islands, fallen trees, snags, small boulders, my first time down it and the sun was in my eyes, I coulda done better. Luckily not one person saw me ski it. Still it was fun. There’s a stop sign at the bottom of the upper section just when I really started moving where it crosses a cutover. I just know that rider’s track has to be Becca. She beat me to the POW, again!
