The only National Park in New England is Acadia. And there are no cities up that way!</blockquote>
I’m guessing he’s referring to units within the National Park Service, including NHS, NS, NM, NRA, etc. I think we can rule out Roger Williams (smallest in the NPS system) and Boston Harbor Islands, which leaves a bunch including Marsh Billings Rockefeller, Cape Cod, Saugus Ironworks, Springfield Armory, Saint Gaudens, Minute Man (not to be confused with Minuteman in SD), Salem Maritime (in a city, no hill) New Bedford Whaling (on the side of a hill, in a city, but no ballfields) I could go on and on with the various units. I don’t see any lost ski areas “surrounded” by any of these units, (Mt. Tom borders Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller but is not “surrounded” by NPS land) and the Kennedys didn’t run any rope tows in Brookline…So…..I think we’re chasing a rabbit down a hole here.
