bmwskier These really aren't ski games but on rainy days like today, my dad and other patrol buddies used to park themselves in the Broken Ski Pub at the Middle Chalet and play Cribbage and Mille Bornes for hours.
210 This thread sparked me to dig up an old puzzle that my parents gave me a long time ago. This week we put it together – it was tougher that I thought – we also found out that it was missing a few pieces… But it was something fun to do on a crummy weather day last week. As you can see the puzzle was locally made by Scheaffer Eaton in Pittsfield, MA although the picture was clearly from the Alps. Maybe you can find one on eBay or at a yard sale…
lotsoskiing Curious where that is...can't zoom in enough to read the print on the tram. Steep lift!!!
210 I tried to get a tighter, zoomed in picture, but it's not a very clear image... I think that it may be a reverse image picture, as the guy is playing guitar left-handed and the majority of guitar players are right-handed. It also makes sense as the logo on the cable car would look more "normal" if reversed. It might take someone with specific knowledge of the terrain to figure this one out...
IBRAKEFORTBARS That’s undoubtedly the Alps taken in the late 60s/early 70s. That’s an old skool cable car that likely has long-since been replaced. Was thinking that might be the Jakobshorn lift in Davos or the Schilthorn lift in Mürren but those had red cabins.
