Today was a beautiful bluebird day at King Pine. It was mostly sunny and temperatures were in the 30s and 40s. All trails were open and the new snow made a good surface to ski on. Everything was groomed, except Pitch Pine and Pine Brule. Snow was thin in the woods and two out of three grades were not worth skiing. However the glades have been greatly expanded in the past few years and they look like they’d be a lot of fun with more snow. It was quite busy and lift lines often were 5 minutes or more, but the lines could be mostly avoided if you worked the lifts correctly. It was an excellent day and the snow held up well, even with the crowds.
