Lifts that are NOT used for skiing

Brandywine had a centre pole double chair that once served ski terrain but later was only used in the summer as the ride up for the lazy river at the former Dover Lake Water Park. Really enjoyed that thing. It was a Sneller make.

Portland Aerial Tramway. If you go further afield, several South American cities have urban gondola networks; the one in La Paz, Bolivia is particularly extensive.

It was the Bucksaw lift at Sugarloaf.

Winter Park has a cabriolet lift from the parking lot to the “village”. The former Canyons area of Park City Resort also has a cabriolet from the parking lot to the base area. Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA has a Sky Ride chairlift.

I think it’s a stretch to say that transfer lifts are not used for skiing but while we are at it, how about the Snowbird tunnel/carpet to Mineral Basin.

“used for skiing”: Does this mean: you get off the lift, ski to the other end of the lift, and ride back up? Or, does it mean used while skiing at a ski area? If the former, then transfer lifts (Slide Brook, SR, et al) not included. If latter, then they would be included. OP’s choice I’d say.

Panorama also has a parking lot to base area cabriolet.

Yes, that’s where the State Fair is located. The first Städeli in Central New York was a lattice double in the 60s at the long-shuttered Intermont.

OK, since I started this thread, and have been away for a while, I hereby decree that we do not include Lifts used for tubing, or lifts used to directly access skiing (Slide Brook, Mineral Basin, etc..) </blockquote> And therein lies the advantage of being the one who originated the thread!
