And to answer your other questions, Jim, since I was born on Nov. 26. 1929. (just hit 89 last week) I’ve seen all of the ones you posted. I remember the candlestick phone without the dial. Those desktop phones you remember from the 50s - 70s were the ones we used in the newsrooms of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette when I worked there from Oct. 3, 1954 to Dec. 31, 1991. At the weekly newspaper, where I have worked three days a week since I left the T&G - that’s 64 years a newspaper man - we have push-button phones that are smarter than I am.

Jim we had both rotaries growing up. Same wall mount one in the kitchen with a real long cord

I remember the same rotary wall phone well. Long cord and all. Growing up my grandma in the upstairs unit had the real heavy phone, with a party line! We as her grandkids could, and did, listen to neighbor's calls. How times gave changed.

Wow. Talk about a hijack! I suppose telephone polls might qualify as the remains of trees. Do we have a list of trails (or off-piste places that are routinely skied" that have power polls in them?

That might be a good one. Two places that come to mind are the powerlines at Tenney and the power lines at Veterans Memorial.

Had a black dial phone– TA2 was the first three numbers. Cottage on Chautauqua was on a party line until the late eighties.

I’m pretty sure there is a power line at Stowe that is skied, but I can’t remember its name.

That’s true, but I thought the “power line” notation implied telephone poles.

A sign at Mt Snow says they hand cleared terrain and for the first time had tree/glade skiing and riding in 1995.

I suspect we’re going to see a slow down in new on map glades at this point. Though some areas will still continue to debate whether or not to put off map glades onto the map. But I really don’t see many areas investing in new glade cutting at this (perhaps excepting Black of Maine which only recently began to glade out to attract more guests).

Not having her head lacerated by low hanging branches is what helped get my wife into the trees.

I hear you, but my experience with Glade skiing is about underlying brush causing leg injuries.
