Wissahickon Ski Club T-Bar (suburbs of Philadelphia)

Has anyone ever heard of this place? Located just outside of Philadelphia! they have their own little ski area with a T-Bar they got from Ski Valley RI (nelsap). No snowmaking, and a very informal look to the place, but definitely looks cool. They have been around for over 70 years!

I scoped this out a number of years ago. It’s pretty flat and not much vertical. It’s also not easy to ski there. You have to become a member and even then the bar is a little high. (Have to join, go to so many meetings, go on a club trip, etc.) You can see the requirements on your link above. It doesn’t take much snow to ski though as it’s essentially a lawn.

I’ve looked into it as I live across the river from philly. But it’s usually only open once or twice a year (my area is lucky to get one 6+ inch storm) and the aforementioned hoops you have to jump through. If I lived in that neighborhood it would be hard to not poach.
