Sorry to be late in the game for the response: I was on another forum that was pondering Attitash profitability. Is it public knowledge that they aren't turning a profit? Just curious what the source is on it as I'd like to learn more about it.

Pre-Peak resorts, my info is hearsay, but I suspect if one had access to the annual reports of ASC, you'd probably get the data. Peak Resorts had the numbers in their annual reports. I didn't keep my copies, but I bet you can get them from your brokerage house.

the data wasn't exactly spelled out, but if you pieced together the comments and loan info for Attitash, and then visited the place, it was pretty apparent that it wasn't setting the stock on fire. One of the key statistics is population base; Mount Snow, Jack Frost and Hunter have double that of Attitash, Crotched, Wildcat.

On the other hand, the summer activities at Attitash gave them a nice bump

some of the agreements seem to indicate that Attitash wasn't essential to their future plans, but that wasn't necessarily the case. Boyd personally guaranteed some snowmaking and groomer loans for Attitash, so he must've had some positive expectations.

If you dig a little more you can see what the specifics are for the loan agreements.

Every time I visit I get the impression that the future of Attitash doesn't look so good. Of course I said that about Starbucks in 2006 so what do I know.
