I thought Okemo would be a sure bet, but it looks like they replaced their serial pomas with serial HSQs.

I think Killington's poma recently moved from upper Snowdon was paired with a poma from the base. If I'm correct, that is one example of Joshua's question.

Okemo's many pomas were scattered around the mountain. Double chairs were the first replacements. Then a triple (summit), then FGQs and now HSQs are part of the mix.

I'm hard pressed to come up two surface lifts that have been replaced in such a way that an aerial lift is on the same line. Cranmore's skimobiles might not be called surface but they were close to a straight line up. Pico's two base to summit doubles were the same line, but I don't think they replaced surface lifts. This is also true of Glen Ellen, now Sugarbush North/Mt. Ellen.

Mt Ellen did not replace with a single aerial lift, which I think is the question? Just changed doubles to quads.

The Pomas followed what is now Pipeline. The double is on Exhibition. Close, but I don't think it fits the criteria.

Bromley Mtn: The Sun Chair replaced the two J-bars that ran sequentially to the summit, following their track. It was later shortened.

I believe you are confusing the "Number One Chair" with the Sun Chair. The Number One Chair was replaced by the Sun Mountain Express. Those did parallel the J-Bars, but the Sun Chair replaced them in 1974-1975 as per Chairlift.org, and Skimap.org, and is still standing.

You are correct. I did confuse those lifts - so if skirick hasn't asked the next question: go for it.

I'll go with Hidden Valley, PA. if you use the broad northeast definition. I believe all their trails are named after cars.
