My son was taking a drive through Southern Vermont and stopped by Mount Snow. This is the mountain on 4/14
Not exactly sure that taking a drive up into the area right now is the wisest of things to do given that the community has lost 2 strong members of it due to COVID-19 in the last 10 days or so, and that virus was more than likely brought into the area by people traveling from out of state.
Even with proper social distancing and people feeling like they're healthy and not stopping at any local establishments as I'm guessing he fit that model, the Valley is hurting right now, and as someone who owns a condo about 1/2 mile North of where your son took that picture on the access road up to the Peak's development, I know that my condo association, and I'm guessing if I asked my friends who own in the Greenspring condo development through which your son had to drive to get to the location that he took the picture at, they really don't want any outside visitation from folks just coming up for less than 14 days with a planned quarantine right now. The risk, even if very small, is just too great right now with what that area in particular has gone through recently.
I fully get the draw to take a drive up there right now, heck, I've got about a half dozen small projects that I'd love to do at my condo right now, and plenty of time to do them, but the reality is right now, unless one is planning on isolating in an area they're traveling to that is more than say 10 to 20 miles from their primary residence, they probably shouldn't be traveling there in the first place unless it is to seek medical care and/or acquire needed household supplies and/or food items
