Don't make post skiing plans when you go to Mount Snow. Another day, another breakdown. Beartrap this morning at 9:40ish. We hiked up to Carinthia to get out.
Not a good debut for Sunbrook today lifts wise. Especially with the Founder's Day crowds! I read a FB post from a friend of mine who said that the line to turn onto 100 North at the light in Wilmington from 9 West/100 was all the way back to, and slightly past were the turn from 100 coming/going to Jacksonville onto 9 was about 8:45 this morning!! :o
Fortunately per my wife, who just drove through that same segment about 11, said that it was smooth sailing through there then. I fully expect to see a LONG line of cars Southbound on 100 waiting to turn at the light this afternoon when I am Northbound on my way in probably about 4:15 today!!
Founders Day and the $17 St Patrick's Day ticket days are 2 days that I try and avoid like the plague at Mount Snow annually. The crowds are not only BIG, but often also with a higher concentration of "low I.Q. skiers/riders" than usual.....
