When halfpipes started to come into vogue, lots of areas had them - even smaller places like Temple Mountain had one. In more recent times, they have become an endangered species. Even Killington has their Superpipe as an afterthought and in the horrible 2015-6 season, they never opened theirs.
So who in the east, besides Killington and Mount Snow, still have and maintain a full half-pipe?
Jonni
Okemo is still in the process of building there's, but it is at least under construction.
jgreco
Depending on the definition of a full halfpipe, possibly only Okemo? Not sure on their wall height, but I think it's at least 18'. Mount Snow has their wavy pipe and Killington looks like they're using the pipe trench for some kind of
pipe/bowl hybrid.
Chuckstah
Loon claims to have the Easts only superpipe.
Remski
I’m not sure if they build one every winter but Sugarloaf has big one when they do.
rickbolger
"full halfpipe"? isn't that like jumbo shrimp? ;)
today the snow report on mountsnow.com sez
Our groomers dressed up 44 trails overnight so you can expect the finest corduroy first thing this morning. Over at Carinthia the Superpipe will be opening today for the first time this season!
It's Super Bowl weekend, it's super wavy, and the guy with the chainsaw did a super job, so I'm not going to argue with them.

Someone needs to step up and build a fullpipe. (Maybe after having had a full pipe or two.)

Doesn't Stratton have one in the Sun Bowl?
TomWhite
I haven't been there this year, but for the last few years they haven't. Now when they built it, it was later in the year for competition they haven't hosted for some years. They did have a small pipe, hum maybe just 1/4 pipe beside the Am Ex.
Dougmccarthy
Stratton will have a retropipe event for the Vermont Open in March. I assume they will build it on Suntanner, which is where it appeared the last few years for the event.
Dirk109
Loon will be the only NE resort with a Superpipe this winter.
Cannonball
Loon's half pipe is massive! Some might even call it 'super'!
joshua_segal
Are there specifications for a half-pipe to be a "super pipe"?

If super pipes weren't super, they would just be pipes

rickbolger: Could you tell me (and anyone else who is clueless), who is in that photo you posted above?
Cannonball
If he weren't super, he'd just be Dave
jaytrem
Only the greatest stuntman ever. Super Dave Osbourn!
Spruce
Super Dave!!
Remski
Never heard of him.
