Also with Waterville does the new T-Bar go higher than the old High Country Double? looks like it on Google Earth. If so that would count for me, but I have not been there since the T Bar was installed.
I haven't skied Waterville since the late 90s but the reason for the High Country Double and now the T-Bar was because they shortened the high speed quad right? It makes sense because I remember wind being a major issue near the top of that lift and often caused it to be put on hold. I remember additional wind fencing helping somewhat. If my assumption of the shortened quad is correct, what was the highest, the quad, the double or the new T-Bar?
This reminds me I really need to get back to Waterville. So much has changed there in 20 plus years.
I'm gonna say yes, dang you. Now I have to list that one as well! I estimate the High County T-Bar as 3840, the High Country Double 3815 and the now Truncated Quad at 3790 using GE. As more ammo, the T-bar is listed as 120 feet longer, but I know the usable part of a T may be shorter than most chairs. But then from the install pics the base is slightly above the chair. So I think that all adds up to a yes.
As far as the Quad goes, all the old trail maps snippets on SkiMap, depict it as slightly below the Double.
