So those who want music can have it and those who prefer the whistle of the wind, the crunch of the snow, the hum of the sheaves, etc. can enjoy that.

@joshua_segal about anything. 110% on this one.
You can also toss in the ski race announcers that shouts into the mic. When you can hear them at the top of the race course I can't image it's at all enjoyable for the 80% of the skiers that have no connection to the race.
