NewEnglandSkier13 I recommend Farmington - around and hour or so to several And a cool little downtown - but haven't skipped thru Farmington since 2013 Yep, that's where I am living. It's a great town and there is easy access to a lot of ski areas.
newpylong We have a house in Errol now I need to visit again. Doesn't seem too far. The River is about 40 minutes.

NewEnglandSkier13 December 31, 2020 An inch of new snow overnight made for some excellent packed powder conditions today! There weren't many people here today, but the skiing was great! It was too warm to make snow during the day, but we're watching the storm coming in this weekend.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 1, 2021 The new year started with a beautiful bluebird day! Conditions are still excellent packed powder and temperatures are perfect with little wind. Snow is being pushed out on Aroostook and we should see some trail openings over the weekend after the storm. Today was busier than the past few days, but still not anywhere sloe to crowded.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 2, 2021 Powder day! It snowed until about 2:00 and we ended up with about 7 inches of moderately dry snow total. Conditions were great all day and the mountain was significantly busier today. Aroostook opened today and we may see more openings tomorrow.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 3, 2021 Excellent skiing today after yesterday's storm! Upper Sunday opened with good cover as well as Lower Sunday and The Bean with natural snow. There were a good number of people here again, but there were still no lift lines. Snowmaking has moved to Rapid and Kennebec. Update: Magalloway has also opened with natural snow.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 9, 2021 Today was one of the busiest days so far this season! The double had a line for most of the day, but the triple was mostly ski-on. Upper Rapid and Kennebec opened and were skiing well. There were packed powder conditions, but Androscoggin got somewhat scraped off during the day. Snowmaking is now taking place on Swift and Lower Rapid.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 10, 2021 Today was a great day to be out! It was quite windy, but sunny and not too cold. The mountain was relatively busy, but the triple was ski-on all day. Swift and Lower Rapid should be ready for next weekend.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 16, 2021 Finally, more snow! It's still snowing heavily, but so far we have picked up about 7" of snow and ropes are dropping! Swift and Lower Rapid were open this morning, in addition to the terrain from last weekend. During the day, ropes dropped on Magalloway and Sticky. I expect that more ropes will be dropping tomorrow after the storm wraps up. Visibility was very low on the upper mountain today because of the low clouds and heavy snow, but the skiing was outstanding! At this rate, it looks like we could end up with at least a foot, but we will see what tomorrow morning brings. Tomorrow and Monday will be outstanding days here at BMOM!
TomWhite Three of us had a great day there yesterday. I looked but didn't see you. The LL Bean Bootmobile wasn't there. I can't wait to ski the many glades.
NewEnglandSkier13 Three of us had a great day there yesterday. I looked but didn't see you. The LL Bean Bootmobile wasn't there. I can't wait to ski the many glades. Great to hear! I'm typically only their on weekends. Glades should be in okay starting tomorrow!
NewEnglandSkier13 January 16, 2021 100% open!!! Trails that are ungroomed have thin cover and obstacles in places, but are quite fun. The new snow is quite wet, so it's a bit of work to ski. Some lower angle glades are skiable if you are familiar with them and know where the rocks are. Today is one of our busiest days so far this season, but still no more than a minute or two wait at the triple.
NewEnglandSkier13 January 18, 2021 Still 100% open and not as busy as yesterday! Many ungroomed trails are getting packed down and they are in pretty good shape for not having much base. Today was an ideal day to be out, and we are looking at good temps this week for snowmaking on Lower Allagash and the tubing park.
NewEnglandSkier13 1/23/2021 Conditions are the best they've been so far this season! Both groomed and ungroomed terrain is soft and skiing very well. The wind is blowing straight down the lift line, and that combined with cold temps makes for a cold lift ride, but the skiing is worth it. The cold has kept people away and the mountain isn't crowded at all. Everything remains open expect Saint John, Allagash, Kennabago, and connecting trails due to snowmaking in that area.
TomWhite I was there Friday 1/22. The lifts lost power early, before 9:15 when I was ready to load. They unloaded people via diesel. There was a utility line problem off site. The power company said, two hours to repair. I waited, debating do I drive two hours home. Power came back in under an hour. Conditions on groomers were excellent all day. Ungroomed and natural trails were kind of soft crust. They were tuff to ski. Upper Allagash and the trails off that from the summit were closed. Nice weather and modest crowd.

That was a rare case of CMP actually doing something before they estimated it. Glad you had a good day, Friday and yesterday had some great conditions on groomed snow and some of the ungroomed trails that were packed were also pretty good!
