I dug out two old photos that for the life of me cannot recall what place it was. The people in the picture don't remember either! It appears to be about January 1982, there was a lot of snow and it was very cold. We stayed overnight, so it must have been a long drive from Massachusetts. I believe it would have been in either NH, ME or VT, in that order of priority. We probably stayed in a motel, since b&b's were not a thing yet.
Mrs. Murphy's Kitchen does not show up on a Google search (no surprise) other than the nouvelle place in Maine which offers lessons. We went there for an early breakfast and it was plain old home cooking. The restaurant was on the main street of a small town, with the steps descending almost meet the road. I remember being cold, cold, cold wherever we went, but I remember little about the ski area. I started to streetview towns near ski areas, but it turned into too much work.
In the photo of the Snow Coach, you can see two summits with trails on them. It must have been at or near the base lodge. I might have been standing in the lodge when I took this. The fact that it's a double chair isn't particularly helpful for this era. I could find no other photos of this trip.
Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
