rickbolger I skied through the lookers left pod (discussed above) and it's probably smart to abandon it. Too flat for tubing or anything, really. They could keep part of it for a handle tow or something, but as NES13 points out they moved beginner ops to the other side, so it would be a definite disconnect. How about some other kind of development there? Something that would help generate revenue, like a trailside lodge? Unless Mt. A is some kind of charity, this might be a sensible thing. It's not like they would be bulldozing any terrific skiing terrain. The average Mainer can't afford a weekend at the Grand Uppity Whatever at Sunday River. I think a mid-priced resort at a decent ski area would do well. Heck they could start with a couple yurts, like some of the midwest & western areas have done.
