Sunrise Hill, MA 5/2/21 (NELSAP Hike)

Had to go up to Quincy yesterday so decided to detour to North Attleborough and check out Sunrise Hill. It has to be one of the most accessible and best preserved NELSAP ski areas because the main trail and lift line are kept clear. It's in a large municipal park that includes a zoo, picnicking, disc golf, and lots of other stuff. The J-Bar looks so nice it almost seems like they gave it a recent paint job!

The top, in excellent condition and right near the road. A nice reminder to the past.

Anyone recognize the manufacturer?

I'd hike it and ski here if the snow was good. This is an upside down ski area with parking at the top.

Great little park. I have family in the town and bring my skis for a quick run or 2 if I end up there for Christmas and there's snow. I think there's a no skiing sign posted, but, better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission 😀

Great report! I live just few towns over and never realized this was here. I think I mixed it up with Sweat Hill in Wrentham and never put it together there was two separate areas. I’ll be checking it out soon.

Nice they have left in place and have the top station painted and marked. Preserving some fun history.
