conrad The Black Mountain triple was mentioned in the haul rope discussion as having a very high section off the ground. What other chairlifts have very tall towers and/or high sections? I'll start by adding Jordan double at Sunday River which has two very tall towers and an extended section very high off the ground. As high as the trees!
lotsoskiing Slide Brook at Sugarbush is way off the deck where it crosses the streams, though towers not high. There is that crazy one in the midwest...

NewEnglandSkier13 Chair 1 at Lost Valley gets quite high as it passes in front of the lodge. I think Black's Summit Triple is the highest in Maine and likely also has the tallest tower.

Whitecap confirmed that no one can ride the lift between the gap any longer. That lattice tower is 120 ft off the ground. It boggles my mind that such a lift without a safety bar was EVER certified for use.
rickbolger the first few towers on the Norway lift at A-basin seemed extraordinarily high to me , maybe because there were no safety bars on the chairs, I used to hold on for dear life over Dercum's. then when it got to the incline it wasn't so bad. I believe it was a YAN.
skelley19 It has a been a couple of years but I seem to remember the Flyer at Jay having a very high section about 3/4s of the way up. Or perhaps I am thinking of the very windy section of that same lift.

ciscokid Remember a double lift I rode at Brighton I think 21 years ago, probably long replaced The old Millicent Yan center pole( replaced 2007
newpylong Always thought a couple towers on Outpost at Mount Snow were up there: https://www.newenglandskihistory.com/lifts/Vermont/mtsnow/outposttriple-2005-0110a.jpg

Probably about tower 5 or 6 (a tower or 2 UPHILL from where this picture was taken) sure seems like it's the highest point off the ground of any lift at Mount Snow, and most lifts out there as well
conrad It's a little hard to appreciate, but Shortcut at Park City Mountain Resort, Utah has a pretty high point when it crosses the center of a gulley: https://liftblog.com/short-cut-park-city-ut/
sugarloaf I'm not sure if it's the highest, but chair 22 at Mammoth Mountain is pretty high and didn't have a safely bar. This was when I rode it in June of 2006. My son was really scared.
xlr8r The top of Skye Peak Express is a bit scary as it is pretty high up, but also the point where you have to raise the bar to unload. https://skiliftblog.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/img_3594.jpg
