According to their Tweet Attitash has already started deconstruction on the new lift.

Trail Update: Expect spring-like conditions. Patrol will continue to assess trails throughout the day and update the website as needed.
Thads will be closed for the rest of the season as construction starts on the replacement lift for the Double-Doubles.

I didn't see any work going on, but the area around the lifts was fenced off as a work zone with keep out signs, so it is starting.

Since I started the thread, I can change the title. I actually changed the title 3x but the moderator kept changing it back. My final change to "close this thread" is sticking for now. Are you advocating we keep it as a Vail Nails it title?

I mistakenly thought someone other than you had changed the name to "close this thread." So I was not trying to advocate you change it a fourth time even if I unwittingly sounded like it.

Something I'd hoped for materialized in Epic/Vail's 2022-23 offerings: *weekday* single tickets (called Epic Day Pass), with options to reduce the price further if you're skiing at a less-in-demand area. A one-day ticket starts at around $44 and drops from there if you buy more.

Only any-day any-area Epic Day Pass tickets were an option last year.

I bought 3 tix for 2022-23 so I could join friends at Liberty, Laurel, + 1 other area on a weekday this coming season. My home area will again be Timberline WV, and my Indy provides 2 tix at each of several regional areas: Canaan Valley, Massanutten, Bryce, and Blue Knob. And then there are those Indys in the NEast. See you there!

Yeah I couldn't get it down to the advertised "from $38 per day" either. Perhaps they had a price increase already?

It's great to see someone competing on day ticket prices again. It is also interesting to see WIldcat and Attitash on the lowest tier. As a "wanderer" type, I hope this becomes a trend.

I'll add that last year online ticket prices were reasonably affordable when I went to Boston Mills/Brandywine, and not bad when I went to Jack Frost/Big Boulder. Much cheaper than any Epic Day Pass offering last year. This essentially brings the Epic Day Pass offering to all Vail ski areas for the coming season.
