Here’s my layout. The existing trails are the ones that aren’t outlined in black. I started by moving the summit lift south just a bit, to a slightly higher peak that will provide better access to two new runs, one intermediate and one expert, running the full length of the south perimeter. The expert run is only steep in the middle but should be a fun varied run. The exact alignment will depend on the rock bands. Of course before you start on construction plans you’ll have a detailed topo map made with 2-foot contour intervals.
Next I relocate the Eclipse lift to go higher up the ridge, though only slightly longer. In fact I wonder why they didn’t do that in the first place. It opens up two expert trails but still has a novice route from the top. Also it provides the access to the whole North Basin where the best terrain is. That shorter lift with the really steep face will be for slalom racing, with a big terrain park wrapping around the less steep pitch. The summit lift should be excellent, a bit like Jackson Gore at Okemo only longer and steeper.
I also have Pagamony’s Traverse back to the old base, which is a bit too flat because it has to go above the existing condo complex.
Yup, I take these way too seriously.
