Having written countless public relations missives, including some crisis PR, I didn't find it condescending, and would say that was not the writer's intent at all. It reads like someone has been brainwashed by too many corporate retreats and the accompanying jargon, and then the corporate communications department ratcheted it up even more.

IF the guy really does have all that positivity, and it plays out in his personality and dealings, his energy will do a lot for the resort.

Maybe they'll put on both!
They aren't the only ones confused about lift types. I posted to skiresorts.info that they had the wrong type of lift specified. They actually responded and with "A J-bar is the same as a platter lift."
