Unfortunately Lost Valley still wasn't able to open a chairlift today, due to CMP not yet fully restoring power, but no one at the mountain seemed to mind too much. They were running the carpet, thanks to its lower power demend, so it was the perfect opportunity to take my girlfriend skiing for her first time. There were lots of people learning, lots of kids building jumps, people hiking up and taking laps, people sessioning the terrain park, and the bar kept busy. Despite the chairlifts being closed, the mountain and lodge stayed busy all day, and it was busier than many days that I've skied at areas that were fully operational. It kind of had the feel of hanging out at a local sledding hill, but with a lodge, bar, & cafeteria. It just goes to show the great community built around these local ski areas, and how everyone is just there to have a good time in the snow, no matter the circumstances.
