I track my ski day using two systems - my Garmin watch that uses Garmin Connect, and Ski Tracks App.
For both of them, they always overestimate the vertical by at least 5%, and sometimes closer to 10%. I can't figure out why. I don't think it's picking up on extra vertical while actually riding the lift. I've also noticed a "drift" for the start/stop elevations - see the screenshot below for Saskadena Six yesterday. The first 19 runs are on the quad, and note that the top elevation keeps getting higher while the bottom does the same.
Does this happen for everyone? Are you finding the same errors in vertical?
