New Neveplast year-round skiing at Mont Tremblant, Quebec´s largest ski resort

I lived in England ’76-78. Both falls I skied on artificial slopes (I think the same location). The first year was on 1000s of connected disks on what I would call ‘afro combs’ for those old enough to remember. It hurt when one fell. I wore blue jeans but still had a brush mark/bruise on my hip. The second year was an improvement. The disks were now thick long toothbrush bristles. But they weren’t very slippery. So around the hill were door mats with 55g drums of Johnson Wax beside them. Staff soaked the mats with wax and skiers skied over the mats on occasion. I skied the Alps both winters. There was a slight difference!!
If you watch the video you’ll water mists coming up all over the hill. My guess is that is a better solution to the fact that the plastic is still not very slippery. I bet it is (still) abrasive as well. The skis and boards may only last a season.
