rickbolger Interesting indeed, thanks for sharing the link It looks like you'll still be able to buy individual lift tix as long as they haven't maxed out whatever the limit is A few other places have tried this, positioning the resort as super exclusive members-first/we only allow the rabble if we have room, and it doesn't work out. Businesses that succeed with this model tend to be one-percenters only/the unwashed masses are politely but firmly turned away. It looks like they are trying to position as that, but not fully committed. So I have my doubts. However Windham has the infrastructure and the customer base to succeed where Haystack efforts did not I didn't dig deep enough to see if they have an option for the locals. Since all the trails begin with the letter "w" it's safe to assume any new trails would be named things like "Wellington All Cap" or "Wedgewood Fund Institutional ETF" and such.
NewEnglandSkier13 This looks like a bad April Fool's prank or something. The website is terribly designed, has strange wording, and almost no actual information about the ski area. There isn't even a trail map or list of pricing for passes and tickets. After some digging, I found that they're trying to change $1,900 for a season pass, which I don't even think counts as a "membership." There's no way this succeeds, or at least I sure hope it doesn't.
NELSAP Not a big fan of "Windham Mountain Club offers downstate hospitality to suit your upstate sensibilities." Us upstaters would tend to disagree that we don't provide a high level of hospitality to all the visitors to our region. And what is an upstate sensibility?
