I'd be shocked if they ever got Smuggs to join. The place already is well known for long liftlines on weekends, especially during peak conditions. I think they are much like MRG in that regard, the Indy is a total non-starter at MRG due to capacity.
On the flip side, Bromley seems like an ideal candidate for the Indy.
If Tenney were approached, they would be crazy not to join.
I would love to see Burke, but I guess that might wait until they have a buyer. I imagine going Indy is a long-term strategic decision for most areas. So, probably not a good decision when you are trying to find a buyer.
It seems easier for Indy to expand with smaller areas than larger areas. I still think they are one big resort away from it being a total slam dunk for New England. I went back to my Jay pass a few seasons ago after trying the Indy, still just not quite there yet for me. Quality over quantity, IMO. Feeder areas
mostly only benefit the locals at those mountains.
Though, if the Indy was around when I was trying to ski all areas in N.E. over 1k vert, it would have been amazing. So, for many, it is an insane value, if that is how you want to structure your season.
