It's finally been officially filed with the USFS:

Village to base gondola + trails to southeast of Green Peak + "facilities". No files yet posted to the USFS projects in review page.

In other news they have also filed to cut a 3-foot wide uphill route to move it off existing downhill trails and to cut a 0.8-km cross country ski trail "Red Feathers" connecting Livermore Road and Moose Run. This latter change is a significant improvement for the higher-elevation cross country network allowing skiers to ski a loop and to allow them to avoid walking on the narrow road from the USFS Livermore lot to the Osceola trial head (Tripoli Rd in the summer). I cannot download the attached files for these using mobile.

Interesting, looks like more info might come around April '25 when the NOI is filed, the decision isn't expected until October 2027, with Implementation in December of that year. So MAYBE the ball starts rolling in spring of 2028.

Has Green Peak been finished? As of two winters ago, there were still portions ungraded and without snowmaking.

Page 15 proposes a chondola but there is a gondola alignment zone to town square.

They really need to replace the Green Peak lift with a high speed lift. They have other lifts listed as being replaced but not that one. That lift is a long slow ride.

Maybe it feels like that after the other high speed lifts, but it runs at pretty average speed and isn't abnormally long. The lift was refurbished not that long ago and helps Green Peak stay relatively uncrowded. I wouldn't want to see it replaced anytime soon.

The impression I always have gotten is their end goal has been — once final build is complete — to have the gondola/chondola on the southeast Green Peak be the main route up with the current triple pushed to secondary status where Governor’s and Rustled Feathers feed several T2B routes towards the new “Mid Station” base.
