I was at wildcat today 2 runs open from.the top
Plus the magic carpet
They had a few guns on on middle and lower pole cat hardly enough to do anything I can't imagine them opening any additional terrain before MLk weekend unless they start hammering the mtn.
The conditions were good on what was open but some very thin spots thet hardly made any snow this year.

Does anyone know what actually happened to the Snowcat lift? It still isn't open and Vail has yet to share any information about what is wrong with it.

Great question zero work being done on it there is also a broken down snowcat 3/4up the way of the mtn that has been sitting off the trail for a few weeks now apparently vail is short on mechanics or that's the word on the street.

People need to stop buying Epic passes (whether day tickets or season passes, since they count toward the stock metrics the same way). Vote with your wallet.

Eventually Vail will fail, just like ASC (but I actually liked ASC (for the most part haha)!)!!

Skiing might be the only business where people believe that a corporation is doomed to fail because they have more customers than they can handle!

According to the snow report work has started to repair the lift and it should be open soon, but no details on what is wrong with it. In other news a snow cat apparently hit the Bobcat lift, and now that one e down. You can't make this stuff up.

Under Peak was there one GM shared with Attitash? I know this is the first year Vail is having one GM between Attitash and Wildcat.

I wonder if without the absolute authority of a GM there daily that the wolves are now in charge of the hen house. No excuse for a cat to take out a lift. It's a flat unloading area.

The snow report now says that the Bobcat lift is closed "due to an unforseen maintenance challenge." They are now recommending that skiers go to Attitash for beginner terrain.

Lots of numbers etc. in the report. One of the biggest take aways I see is one size fits all marketing and no local involvement is hurting them tremendously. At least they let the local management post updates on their web sites. It only took them 3 years to get that working. As the report stated the smaller resorts live and die by providing the best conditions. That is what will keep people coming back.

You know something must be going terribly wrong when investors are complaining about the dividends being too high. Quite the scathing report. Really gives these Vail Sucks threads a run for their money.

Both lifts are still closed with no progress updates. Trails around the Bobcat Lift also remain closed (Lower Catapult & Bobcat).
