I enjoy Stuart’s site but I can’t keep up with it, how about you? I’m still reading stuff from November. Do learn a lot

Never imbibed

I like it, but not me either. I skim most of it, unless it's an area in which I have special interest.

I’ve only listened to 2 podcasts, Caberfae a few years ago and Norway mtn recently.

Is it just me, I find podcasts annoying. What happened to the old days of just reading an interview?
conrad
I really enjoyed it the first couple of years. It was really amazing to suddenly have the curtain removed and see the inner workings of ski areas. That said, though I still subscribe, I'm reading his content less now, as I think it's getting a little repetitive. Also, the New Yorker in him kind of comes out a lot (the profanity, the hyping of every trend, etc.)
That said, ciscokid, I would definitely recommend you listen to the Nub's Nob interview, that was a good one I think you would enjoy.

Bout ready to quit bro brah f bomber

I do tend to learn a bunch via his interviews (if the person/resort he's talking with interests me) when I listen to the podcast. His subscription articles that he puts out (I wish he'd do more during the actual ski season than the off season) are full of plenty of research and details.
He brings some of his personal views as someone who is now a full city person into some of his angles that I just think don't have much relevance to the rural, mountain communities that most ski areas are in, and doesn't seem to understand that it's financially impossible to have say rail service to most every ski area in the US, as is more common in Europe.
Overall I like it enough that I have been a subscriber for the last 2 years and just re-upped for the next year

I too have subscribed for the last 2 years and have re-upped for another year. I like the podcasts as well as his articles, but I do feel like there's a bit of fluff to it. I tend to skip over some of the bro-brah bits that he adds in. I get that's his tone, and it's his publication/podcast to do what he wants with....but I'm kinda over that aspect of it. I will still read them as I appreciate the time and effort that goes into researching and putting these articles together. I do also envy him as he's formed some good relationships with ski area insiders/operators to get to know the inner workings of the industry. It's a dream of mine if I could make something like that my job.

I’ve been subscribed for a year or two as well.
I read each newsletter in my inbox, though if it has to do with conglomeration I tend to skip it. I don’t care for the minority of out-of-pricepoint ski areas on Epic or Ikon or MC. The bro-brah bit is a little overdone, I agree. It’s fine to include, but at the level he does it I’m a little over with it.
I listen to the podcasts if I’ve been to an area, or plan to go to one. Otherwise, I don’t bother because it just doesn’t have much relevance to me.
The city perspective also just doesn’t apply to me either. His idea of “there’s x ski areas within a 5 hour drive of me” just doesn’t mean much despite living in the Boston metro area. I’m not driving 5 hours. Maybe 3 for a really good snow day, but otherwise I’m wont to stay close to home and ski locally, or backcountry nearby.

Stuart's work is excellent and detailed, but most of it is well beyond the scope of my personal interest. I read it like I do a newspaper: Skim a lot and read the details that are of interest to me.

Well I’m half way thru June, read about Iowa skiing
Idk, Vail, stats , brahs and bros.
I’m not a subscriber so I shouldn’t be negative especially since Stu was a Michigander and I was Jersey east coast fastback.
I’ll catch up eventually
