Harvey Road: What is happening to the Hall double?

Reply Woods Valley Ski Area: Harvey Road the new quad replaces the Hall T-bar, along the same alignment, and will run to the top. The Hall double will remain.

The Quad has been sitting in the parking lot for several years, glad to see them finally put it to use. Woods valley is a small 533 vertical ski area, but its an extremely busy mountain shouldering The Utica, Rome, Oneida statistical area. Its heavily invested in by all the local school clubs as well. Tim Woods rebought the mountain after he left Windham Mountain general manger several years ago.

Red Line is old T-bar line that currently ends at yellow dot, white line is current summit double. There are rumors that the Double will be moved for future Expansion to the yellow area. Which Tim has flirted with in a Facebook video. Regardless it will be nice to see Woods get the increased lift capacity.

Thanks for the update! I've only skied there once but enjoyed it. Never got to ride the T-bar unfortunately as it wasn't operating.

With it being so busy this year, they were running both the T-bar and Double all season, plus they received well over 300 inches of snow which was a draw for the constant powder days. I took my son there a couple times. Tim Woods runs a tight ship but my only disappointment was the new lodge is missing a firepit ambiance though. There is a large wall fireplace but it wasn't lit. The old lodge had a massive circular floor to ceiling fireplace that was always going.

Do we know what area in PA that quad is from? 2021, their FB post: "Did we mention that we have purchased a new chairlift? This ‘new to us’ lift is a four passenger CTEC/Dopplemayr that we acquired from an area in Pennsylvania in September."

They got it from Kenny's Parkway aka Kennywood in Pennsylvania.

I grew up in the Pittsburgh area. Kennywood is an amusement park southeast of downtown.
